Out Now: Abraham Cowley (Yellow Machines)

Under a new alias, The Dexorcist, has just released his first release under the name Abraham Cowley for Scan One’s Yellow Machines label. Why the new name – because this is acid house, born from dark warehouses from the first time round. It’s had a great review in the Wire comparing it to the music of Larry Heard and deservedly so – this release has a hell of a lot more feeling and emotion in the tracks compared to some of the revivalist vintage sound around at the moment – as well as super heavy bass.
