Stream: Tudor Acid – Glass Walls (Tudor Acid Remix)

One of the characterists of Tudor Acid’s production is the intricasy of his beat programming, creating cyclical sonic structures that are challenging but pleasurable to listen to. The background story to his music has been revealed for Tudor Acid’s latest release and for the track Glass Walls in particular, the track is the workings of a mind influenced by Asperger Syndrome – working through this world and creating other realms of beauty.

Part 07 sees both Tudor Acid and Posthuman revisit the track Glass Walls which was on the first release of the series. You can listen to the Tudor Acid remix here on null+void in this excerpt you can stream below, where he adds in more of agroove to the avant garde side of his musicality, and inrelation to Asberger making progress in dealing with the disposition. I’m enjoying hearing this element coming through more and more as the Wrong Side of Day series progresses, and the path of Tudor Acid in general.

Out Now: Sturqen – Praga

Released this week on Kivitnu is the second album to come from Portuguese noise duo Sturqen. It was their Peste EP that first caught ours, and others attention earlier this year earning them two prizes at this year’s Quartz music awards. Their sound was based in drone like techno, but not lost in dubby reverb it carried more severe sound than that with much more of an industrial grounding.

Pure abstract vibes with no specific context, frozen explosion, ignition, crushed particles and relief.

The release notes don’t quite do the album justice –  some tracks find themselves with a more song like structure backed with pulsating beats and fuzzy synths they head into post punk like territory. Check out the preview below and you can preview the album in full and purchase from Kivitnu

Mix: Dave Clarke Electronic Explorations Guest Mix

This mix emerged last week to coincide with the release of Dave Clarke’s fabric60 release. What I admire about Dave Clarke is that he is one of the biggest DJ names in the world and still when it gets down to it has an ear for the real underground, for music that isn’t borne from the hype machine and music that has an edge to it. We’re also happy to see the inclusion of tracks from Sync 24, Dez Williams and Scape One some of our favourite artists making electro in the UK today.
