Shir Khan Exploited Compilation Promo Mini Mix For Vice Download

This has just been published in full on the German Vice website and is well down with the electro funk even if it’s only a few minutes long does job of whetting appetite of the full compilation double CD (released 14th September) featuring Milanese, SIS, Riva Starr, Modeselektor, Analogik, Adam Sky, Tomboy&Fredski and Crookers to name a few. Sounding good so far.

Drums of Death Podcast for RA

Drums of Death @ Glade 2009, Overkill Stage, taken by me

This is amazing grabbed attention from this lush remix of Radiohead’s Everything in it’s Right place and goes all the way through disco, electro, acid, wobble and dubstep. Definitely my stand out podcast from RA so far this year. Also features a favourite track of mine from TV Youth definitely feeling there are great things to come from him and so impressed and inspired that Drums of Death seems to so cleverly traverse the underground and the mainstream dance sounds in this mix and in his bookings and press coverage.

Another interesting touch screen based control method for digital DJs to hit the interwebs, it’s Tonetable. For those of you familiar with timecoded vinyls this little app will produce a tone that’s compatible with Serato’s Scratch Live, Native Instruments’ Traktor Scratch, M-Audio’s Torq, Image-Line’s Deckadance and more. Just take the audio out from the iPhone or iPod Touch and whack it into your audio interface box. Video below:

True story and semi-related; I once did a VJ gig at a club night and a DJ came up to me asking who had unplugged his Serato Scratch setup, 5 minutes before he was due to go on. Devastated, he sat in the corner of the booth and cried proper tears. I shit you not.

Tonetable is available for the mere fee of Five Great British Pound Sterling.

Plex All Stars Party Rob Hall / Dexorcist / Matt Chester Flyer Out

I’ve been hoping and praying, wondering who is goign to book Matt Chester for a London gig. And Plex have done it, 2 days after my birthday. Another stunning line up, still my favourite LDN party in my favourite LDN club only this time I will be one whole quarter of a century old.

Also definitely worth it to hear Handsette showcase, follow the reference to hear MP3 previews.

And now check out this Matt Chester Soundcloud Booty.

Those Pesky Kids Launch Record Label Feat. Orien

From Those Pesky Kids who have brought many a massive party to the south of England launched their new label Pesky Plates this Monday. The post is a few days late due to Glade backlog but shouts are deserved to this heavy release from the original south London grime edge sound of Dubstep and with DJ support already from the likes of Caspa and N-Type.

Purchase online from Juno Records and other good record stores.

Found this pretty hot mix from Orien and B2B Unitz & MC Roguestar on Rinse FM 11/03/09 The Dub Police Show on listen here.

Also keep your ears out for the next release already ready for PESKY002 – FUSED FORCES- Ugly Face,Fruits Of Labour and Road Rage. Full release date – September 2009.

The Centrifuge, the UK’s fastest growing net label and promotions racket is teaming up with Skam Records and new UK/Japanese label ICASEA for their next event at Ginglik in Shepherds Bush 25/07/09.

This is an absolutely massive line up of pure quality and rare chance to see MR76ix live previewing his new release. It’s a night of acid/rave/electro wizardry in what’s becoming one of London’s most active electronica venues.

The Centrifuge have written some very good in depth low down on the line up on their Facebook event page so be sure to check that out.

To get us in the spirit for the acid electro goodness the Centrifuge have released to us an exclusive never heard before (unelss you were at the gig) live set from Odan (Net Lab). It’s pretty sick, I am also happy to hear we can expect a new release from Odan in the coming months on The Centrifuge.

Download the MP3 yours to keep by clicking this link.

P.S. Tune in on 23/07/09 at 2200 for the first TheCentrifuge Radio show on Brap FM. Check out the infos here.

Creaked Records 5th Anniversary + Starting Teeth Remix EP Out Now

We have lots of cool media from Creaked Records, to celebrate their 5th anniversary this year and their forthcoming releases for this month, released yesterday in fact:

Julien Aubert ‘Paint Club EP’ CRDS15 | Limited 12″ | 2009-07-07

Starting Teeth ‘The Way Of The Intercepting Fist’ CRDS16 | Limited 12″ | 2009-07-07

Starting Teeth “Venom” from travis siegfried on Vimeo

Starting Teeth played one of their debut live shows (in fact the first ever live performance) as a warm up to their other UK dates, was a hard knocking glitch fest. Glad to hear them back with this new release, and also that they did a cool remix for label mate Mochipet (Lazy Days) in the last few months too. Creaked have supplied us with a track off the EP to share with you and the lovely video above.

P.S. Watch out for this guy Creaked have become involved with.
