Smashback City Parks Exclusive Album Preview

Coming at you from Bass Gun Records Smashback has given us an exclusive 20 min megamix preview of his debut album City Parks on sale 28/03/09.

This album is a divergence from the usual beat and bass driven dance floor tracks we’re used to, Smashback takes time to play away from the the ambient glitch mixed amongst real drums at times.

Thanks for Edd for doing this special ting and get yourself a high quality version of the whole album from Juno, Beatport and other good download stores.

Pain Struck Stanley Dumb on Wide Records

Here we have it Pain Struck Stanley Dumb’s debut release on bass enthusiast label Wide Records, the joining of Luke Dumbstruck and Christopher D Ashley (who has been known to call himself Stanley Pain). We had them down for their debut London performance at Avoiding The Void Since 1984 last November.

The EP is driving dark metallic sounding electro and you get the influence of Keith Tenniswood coming through on Kev’s Boudoir which he co produced. Remixes are supplied by Richard Wigglesworth and label mate Shinra.

Dave Clarke says”Something that transcends all barriers of electronic music, an incredible piece of music”. Must be good then.

Available to buy now on Beatport.

Rude NHS Gives Free Rave For All

Rude NHS came down to fill in last minute at the Avoiding The Void Since 1984 Love Love Records showcase last December at The Others, playing along side Emo Hunter, The Fez and High Rankin.

He’s now set about to give away these 11 minutes of “free rave” to all that will listen with more to follow. 11 minutes of rudely construed full on acid rave spazdom.
