null+void have previously spoken about the collaboration between producers Catalepsia and Franz Kirmann as their labels Metis and Photogram combine on this vinyl only release, which is out now. The pair also are also getting ready to launch a new label and club night both called Days Of Being Wild, the first event on 2nd October in Brixton and then the first release is scheduled for the beginning of Novemeber. So it seemed right for them both to go into the studio to record this special mix for null+void of soft house and techno tones a way also of previewing what's in store at their club night.

Formerly known as DJ Espee and also known by his actual real life name Steven Patten, Scotland's Soundex Phonetic has put together an expansive mix of his most powerful inspirations in music from Drexciya to Matt Whitehead and Clark. Steven has been producing music, DJing and putting on parties since his teenage years promoting in Glasgow at the legendary Club 69 for the monthly party 'Subscience'. Despite feeling the harshness that has befallen the live circuit, the digital age has enabled many a mix and release from Steven with 3 EP's in the pipeline on Paul Blackford's ever strong base for current electro, Militant Science.

The aesthetic beginning of Datacrashrobot's music is taken from classic electro but then is twisted and morphed in an experimental vain, with effects laden glitchy athmospherics added to the mix on top of beats that shift and change. The project was estblished in 2008 by Sorin Paun, and so far in 2010 he has self-released the Probes EP via Bandcamp with a new EP planned for release later in the year. Sorin also broadcasts his show Datastream Transmissions every Monday on electro underground station Ilegal Connection, if you forget to tune in on time there is an archive on Mixcloud.

Posthuman are set to release their new album Syn Emergence on the 2nd of August, following a huge launch party at London [even the world's] most loved and respected clubs' Fabric next Saturday (more info here). 

We've previewed the album already, rough mixes with the smooth rave influenced techno presented in creatively thought out limited edition vinyl. Somehow in between running the pioneering and successful west London club night I Love Acid, performing as AGT Rave Crew and running Balkan Vinyl Posthuman's Josh Doherty has managed to put together this blistering mix for null+void previewing the forthcoming album alongside Posthuman bandmate and cousin Rich Bevan.

Teutonic Kaboom hails from the fair north like many good people, and since 2007 she has had releases on Bass Gun, Data Trace and her recent remix of Ion Driver on Digital Distortions has been driving me mad. Her sound is of distortion charged rough cuts of bass with no holding back mixing between electro, 2-step and techno. To next catch Charlotte live you have to head to Manchester in May to check out the party she’s hosting with Data-Trace head Glover as part of FutureEverything festival featuring Plex's Strepsil and one of my current favourite producers Dead Sound.
